Position Summary:

The Sr Quality Specialist in the Corporate Quality Assurance (CQA) Department is responsible for providing support to our operations in the area of quality assurance. This position develops, implements, maintains, and improves quality systems and processes and participates on teams developing, designing, installing and starting-up new products, product improvements, and technology upgrades to ensure that quality is built into the products and processes. The role plans and leads small- and medium-size projects and participates on project teams as the Quality functional expert. This position requires the ability to apply standard quality principles and practices to assigned projects and can perform plant, co-packer, and supplier assessments and audits if necessary. The Sr Quality Specialist is able to coordinate and influence other technical and functional disciplines to effectively solve problems and mitigate risks. This role will provide training in functional areas of expertise and requires communications of technical material to non-technical people, both oral and written. The position provides support to US, Canada, LATAM, and International (as needed)

Ability to travel at least 35% or more as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support -- Participates on project teams as the Quality function subject matter expert in the development, designing, installing and starting up new products, product improvements, and technology upgrades to ensure quality is consistently delivered by our plants, co-packers and suppliers.

  • Issue Support & Management -- Provides leadership and technical knowledge for troubleshooting and problem resolution at our plants, co-packers and suppliers. Ensures the effective management and communication of improvement plans and draws on internal and external experts as appropriate to meet project objectives and timelines.

  • Perform Quality Systems Assessments & Audits - Performs Quality System Assessments of Clorox manufacturing facilities, suppliers and co-packers.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement - Supports the continuous improvement of the Quality function by identifying and resolving gaps in quality systems, tools, and processes. This role develops implements, maintains, and improves quality systems and processes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

  • 5 years of experience in quality, supply chain, regulatory, project management, or operations.

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Requirements:

  • 6-8 years' experience in quality, supply chain, regulatory, project management, or operations

  • Familiarity with FDA/ISO/ICH/cGMP regulations in Foods, Cosmetics or similar environment

  • Strong leadership skills. Will be required to travel independently or with a team to domestic and worldwide sites

  • Highly flexible and adaptable. Able to work independently in a fast-paced multitasking environment on multiple projects.

  • Strong interpersonal skills. Will be sole representative of Quality on cross-functional technical project teams.

  • Strong problem solving skills, issue resolution and root cause analysis

  • Strong written and verbal business communication skills

  • Project management, quality toolbox/SPC/Lean, supplier management and/or auditing skills desired.
