Position Description

Key responsibilities:

  • This is a key position in the Continuous Improvement team responsible for project delivery with respect to BI and Application work. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of these areas with respect to Solution Design / Solution Architecture to support multiple concurrent projects to review and provide High Level Design (HLD), System Design Documents (SDD) and Low Level Design (LLDs).

  • Develop end-to-end application solutions that meet the business, process and architecture requirements. Refine and review requirements, influencing them to ensure the most effective use of applications, services and IT resources.

  • Responsible to provide key information in articulating solution estimates, scope, and ongoing validation (including any scope changes) of delivery project technical solutions to Project Managers and Senior Technical staff including collaboration with internal and vendor resources - this includes accountability from the initial estimate to the final expense for all assigned solution design requirements on projects.

  • Work with Business Relationship Management to understand business requirements through collaboration with the business analysts, architecture and BRM as needed. Anticipate architectural requirements and challenges / limitations / gaps in technology. Works to ensure that the technical designs deliver the most effective customer experience. Assist both with project charters, discovery charters and projects.

  • Validates that the proposed solution meets Enterprise Architecture and Security standards

  • Create and maintain a robust project focused design documentation that: Encapsulates the technical definition of the solution in a manner that can be used to drive coherent action across design teams; clearly defines the technical interfaces/protocols to be exposed between solutions being developed by each engaged solution design community (application, infrastructure, security, etc,; identifies dependencies with other programs of work that will impact delivery of an individual project; and is a key input to corporate governance processes for assessing the feasibility and risks of projects.

  • Provides technical expertise and guidance to team on Clorox system strategies, roadmaps, and relevant actionable reference architectures. Reviews and provides coaching on design and development. Acts as an internal expert resource in the exchange of technical information for project teams, and provides technical insight and recommendations to the business and/or outside to enable business capabilities needed to achieve the Clorox Company's long term growth strategy

  • This role is responsible to oversee the 3PSP for the actual development against the design and take final delivery and ownership of the work from the 3PSP.

Position requirements

Years and Type of Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years technical/functional design experience with SAP ERP

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology / SDLC methodologies / Solution Design / Solution Architecture

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with SAP is required.

  • Experience with International systems is a plus.

  • Experience with other major ERP such as NetSuite is aa plus

  • Implementing experience in CPG industry a plus

Desirable:

  • Experience in working with 3PSP and outsourced environment

Education Level/Degree:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science; Masters preferred or equivalent experience.
